ok ok ok ok…i’m a bit jazzed now!
Stumbled upon this pic through one of my RSS Readers. Promo photo for the newest DOCTOR WHO special entitled “THE WATERS OF MARS” that’s going out this Sunday. It’s from the show’s BBC site. I haven’t seen any of the trailers – and rarely read any of the fan mags because – well – I have no time – and I really like going in with nary a clue of what’s going to happen so I can get surprised by it all.
I hadn’t thought much about the thing and the hype until a few minutes ago.
And now I’m quite jazzed to see what they come up with.
And the photo’s cool in a SILENT RUNNING / THE BLACK HOLE kind of way (is that a robot in the picture? Huey, Dewey, or Louie? Old Bob?). The new show is – at times – a little over-stuffed with bombast (as opposed to the classic show which was usually very intelligent and so vibrant – but a little creaky in pace…and SO under-funded). However – If the episode’s half as good as Russel T Davies’ “Midnight” or Stephen Moffet’s library episode from the last season…it’s gonna be a good time.
If it’s PLANET OF THE DEAD however…aye.
